Paring the breath with movement, Lisa’s flowing vinyasa yoga class encourages us transition toward our own potential. This practice will strengthen and stretch the body with the attention of mindful alignment. Intention of practice, humor, joy, breath and exploration of the inner landscapes are always elements to be explored in her class.

Lisa’s class is a whole body experience presented through the lens of Buddhist and Yogic perspective. She believes that yoga has the capacity to benefit any being with an open mind and specializes in adapting the yoga asanas to work with any body.

Lisa recieved her yoga teacher training for OM Yoga Center in New York City, holds her BFA in Modern Dance Performance from The University of The Arts, completed Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training with Janice Clarfield and is a DONA trained Birth Doula.


Offerings:

Vinyasa Yoga:

With a partnership between the breath and movement vinyasa yoga will strengthen and stretch the body with a clear focus on alignment, body awareness and breathing. Brand new beginners thru advanced yogi's welcome.

 

Gentle Yoga for Older Adults:

As the body ages and changes it is extremely important to keep it strong and limber. With the use of props including but not limited to chairs, belts, resistance bands and light weights we are able to make many poses available to all bodies. This class will offer seniors a chance to work on balance, coordination, strength training for strong bones and muscles, flexibility, fine motor skills, breathing techniques and relaxation.

 

Prenatal Yoga for Expectant Mothers:

Prenatal yoga trains the mind, body and breath during the nine month journey in preparation for the beautiful moment of birth.

With this practice you will learn;postural and movement techniques utilizing yoga asana, creative visualizations for connection and release, abdominal and pelvic toning, vocal release, pranayana breathing and other tools that can be directly applied to help cope with pain and discomfort during the birthing process.
